Na última sexta-feira, dia 25/10, foi celebrada a Missa em Ação de Graças pelos 124 anos de fundação da Congregação das Irmãs Missionárias de São Carlos Borromeo-Scalabrinianas.
A missa contou com apresentação de funcionários do Hospital Mãe de Deus, na procissão de entrada, representando o fundador da Congregação, Dom João Batista Scalabrini, e os cofundadores Venerável Padre José Marchetti e Beata Madre Assunta Marchetti. Além dos migrantes, na ocasião representados por colaboradores de várias nacionalidades que hoje trabalham na instituição.
Concelebrada por Dom Aparecido Donizete de Souza e Frei Hélio Dalla Costa, a celebração contou com a presença de equipes assistenciais, funcionários, médicos, pacientes e familiares no auditório do Hospital Mãe de Deus.
Em 1895, na cidade de Piacenza, no norte da Itália, a Congregação foi fundada com a missão de atender pessoas migrantes fragilizadas na sua condição socioeconômica e cultural desde suas localidades de origem.
