A Direção do Hospital Santa Luzia (HSL) vem por meio deste manifestar-se, de forma a manter sua conduta de transparência com a comunidade de Capão da Canoa, a respeito do conteúdo presente em áudio que iniciou a circular, no dia 27 de março, em redes sociais, sobre sua estrutura com foco no atendimento a casos da COVID-19.
No áudio é feita referência à existência de apenas 1 (um) leito de UTI disponível para a população. Em outro momento do áudio, cita-se que um segundo leito está com falta de respirador, mas que existe um trabalho de captação de investimento para aquisição por entidades da cidade; e, em um terceiro momento, relata a visita ao Hospital Santa Luzia e, em conversa com a Direção, houve a manifestação de que os dez leitos de UTI não estariam preparados.
Sobre estes comentários, a Direção esclarece:
– Na primeira versão do Plano de Contingência da COVID-19 da Secretaria Estadual de Saúde, o HSL não estaria designado a prestar atendimento hospitalar, devendo remover todo caso para instituições de referência. Apesar desta recomendação, a Direção optou por reservar um leito de UTI, além de dois leitos na Enfermaria, caso houvesse necessidade emergencial;
– Com o aumento do cenário de forma mais rápida do que o previsto, houve a atualização do Plano de Contingência por parte da Secretaria Estadual, designando a necessidade de 01 (um) leito de UTI para atendimento COVID-19 ao HSL. Nesse caso, o Hospital já estava com esta estrutura preparada;
– Ao ser questionada pelo autor do áudio sobre a estrutura do Hospital para os atendimentos pacientes com COVID-19, a gestora administrativa do HSL relatou o que está previsto pela instituição por recomendação do Plano de Contingência estadual.
Nesse sentido, cabe ressaltar que, por ser uma pandemia mundial, conforme categorização da Organização Mundial de Saúde, a gestão da malha de serviços a serem oferecidos à população por meio do Sistema Único de Saúde é de responsabilidade do poder público. Nesse sentido, compete ao Hospital Santa Luzia disponibilizar a estrutura solicitada pelos órgãos competentes, dentro das suas condições.
A equipe gestora do Hospital está acompanhando os impactos causados por este vírus desde antes da sua chegada ao Brasil, e compreende a necessidade de atualizações constantes no Plano de Contingência, de forma a garantir um melhor atendimento aos que necessitarem. Assim, o HSL reforça que, além da estrutura solicitada pelo Plano de Contingência do governo até o momento, possui mais 9 (nove) leitos de UTI, 1 (um) leito de isolamento na Emergência, e a possibilidade de adaptação de mais duas salas para isolamento de pacientes com COVID-19. Em relação à equipe assistencial, vem realizando treinamentos constantes sobre processos especiais.
O Hospital Santa Luzia ressalta o compromisso com a população de Capão da Canoa em prover não apenas infraestrutura, mas informação com foco em prevenção. Desta forma, reforça as orientações de entidades de saúde nacionais e internacionais de isolamento social e higienização de mãos e ambientes. Será dessa forma, por meio do trabalho cooperativo de instituições e da população que será possível vencer esta pandemia.
