Para comemorar o dia de um dos profissionais que estão mais presentes em nossas instituições, pela primeira vez a AESC realizou um evento que contou com a participação de médicos de todas as unidades.
Em seu discurso, a presidente da AESC, irmã Elena Ferrarini, lembrou a origem da data: “O dia 18 de outubro é a data de nascimento de Lucas, que escreveu parte do Novo Testamento da Bíblia. Sua família era pagã, mas o mesmo se converteu ao cristianismo. Passou parte de sua vida curando as pessoas por onde passava, motivo pelo qual foi estabelecido como padroeiro da medicina. Em homenagem a São Lucas, a data de seu nascimento foi escolhida como o dia do médico, profissional que estuda a ciência e as técnicas para se fazer a cura”.
Na ocasião, também foram homenageados os médicos jubilados por tempo de atuação no Hospital Mãe de Deus e do Hospital Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes, de Torres.
O evento iniciou com um vídeo em homenagem a todos os médicos, das diferentes unidades, que estão conectados por um propósito maior: a vida!
