O Hospital Santa Ana, administrado pela Associação Educadora São Carlos (AESC), será pioneiro em Porto Alegre na oferta da terapia conhecida como Estimulação Precoce, voltada a recém-nascidos de risco ou com alguma deficiência para o desenvolvimento motor e cognitivo. O serviço estará disponível por meio do Centro Especializado em Reabilitação Auditiva e Intelectual (CER II), fornecendo orientação aos pais, responsáveis e cuidadores. Também haverá o acompanhamento dos bebês com foco na detecção e na diminuição da possibilidade de alterações neuropsicomotoras e auditivas.
A novidade faz parte do valor de R$ 9,1 milhões anuais conquistados junto ao Ministério da Saúde, na final de dezembro. Além de possibilitar a implementação do CER II, o recurso contemplará as linhas de Cuidados Prolongados e a Unidade de Tratamento Intensivo (UTI) do Hospital, situado no bairro Teresópolis. Todos os atendimentos do Santa Ana são destinados aos pacientes do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), sempre encaminhados por hospitais de alta complexidade da Capital, além das UPAs e Pronto Atendimentos de Porto Alegre.
Apoio da Administração Pública
Para ter acesso aos recursos públicos, o Hospital Santa Ana cumpriu todas as exigências necessárias para a qualificação nos processos de habilitação junto Ministério da Saúde. O Hospital com o apoio da Secretaria Municipal de Saúde na análise e aprovação inicial da proposta. Na sequência, o processo de habilitação passou por uma fase intermediária na Secretaria de Saúde do RS, seguindo para a avaliação em Brasília.
Embora os serviços estejam ao alcance da população desde o mês de novembro, o funcionamento pleno está previsto para iniciar até o mês de março deste ano. Na estimativa do Hospital Santa Ana, os atendimentos deverão beneficiar aproximadamente 5 mil pacientes ao ano.
